The Easiest DIY Wipe Container For Your Diaper Bag

If you are looking for a simple DIY wipe container that you probably already have the supplies for, this is a great option!

When I first had my baby, I wanted to be as prepared as possible. What mom doesn’t want to be prepared?

As part of this mindset, I would pack an entire package of Kirkland wipes in my diaper bag. An ENTIRE package! Now, these packages contain 100 large wipes, and if you’re wondering how much it weighs, look no further because I weighed it for you. It weighs 1.88 lbs!

You might think, “Well, Miss Mica, that’s not very heavy…”

Oh, trust me. It might seem light at first, but that diaper bag will feel like a bag of rocks in no time if you aren’t careful! It is easy to stuff it full of anything that you think you might need. Which is a dangerous game because you may think that you need everything.

Keeping your bag organized and only taking the necessities will help keep you sane, and I found that this little DIY wipe container has relieved some of the unnecessary baggage 😛

It’s so easy! I bet you already have everything you need to make it 🙂

This post is all about a DIY wipe container.

THE EASIEST DIY WIPE CONTAINER FOR YOUR DIAPER BAG

SUPPLIES

  • Ziplock Bag- just one that is large enough to fit the wipes inside. You can also use any type of small bag that will keep moisture inside so the wipes don’t dry out. For example, some cosmetic bags or pencil cases work great, etc. These can be fun because then they have a color or design on them, however, I just use a plain ziplock bag.
  • Scissors
  • Lid taken from a package of wipes
  • Hot glue/super glue
  • Sharpie

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Take your ziplock bag and decide which way you want to place the wipes inside, either vertical or horizontal, and where they will sit best. I am using a quart sized bag, and I will be placing the wipes vertically in the middle of the bag.

STEP 2: Take the wipes lid and place it where you would like it to be on the bag in relation to where the wipes will sit inside.

STEP 3: Keeping the lid in place, open it and draw an oval around the inside with the sharpie. This is where you are going to cut a hole. You want the circle to be big enough for a wipe to fit through, but small enough that you won’t pull out all of the wipes at the same time. You can always make the hole bigger.

STEP 4: Remove the lid. Take your scissors and cut out the oval that you drew.

STEP 5: Place hot glue (or super glue, or both) around the bottom of the lid and place over the hole. Make sure not to use too much. You don’t want it to spill out over the edges.

STEP 6: Let it dry and, if you haven’t already, place your desired wipes inside! Zip tightly and add it to your diaper bag!

Now, I can’t say the ziplock bag is the cutest thing, but it sure is the easiest! Again, there are other bags you can use that have patterns and colors, and you can even find them at a local Dollar Store. But if you don’t feel like making one, you can buy a small wipe container online, which may work better for you!

This post was all about how to make the easiest DIY wipe container.
